A Necessary Wake-Up Call for Humanity.
Many different explanations are being offered for how the virus emerged. From my perspective it doesn't really matter which is "true". However it emerged, I see a Divine hand at work in shaping its mode of transmission and
infection to maximize the potential for creative, positive responses at the personal and collective levels. Business as usual is simply no longer possible. The inequities and injustices of the collapsed economic system can no longer be ignored, as Pete Seeger sang in a verse of his song Rainbow Race:
Some people want to be like an ostrich,
Hide their heads in the sand.
Some hope that plastic dreams
Can unclench all those greedy hands.
Some people want to take the easy way:
Poison bombs they thing we need 'em.
Don't you know you can't kill all the unbelievers?
There's no short cut to freedom.
Exactly four years ago I sent out a blog titled Soul Evolution and the Cosmic Eternal Now (Blog #16). What makes incarnation on Earth during this time of great transformation unusual is that, as our lives proceed, our Higher Selves factor in both what best serves our individual soul journeys and what best serves humanity and Mother Earth's collective journey. At the present time the collective choices that humanity has made requires that many humans die.
Having almost died from pneumonia last year, I know how coming to the edge of death is energetically purifying. Many are now experiencing that kind of purification. As much as my heart aches for the collective pain of those who are losing loved ones to the virus, I take some comfort in the conviction that those who
are dying are moving a little more quickly on their individual soul journeys than a more gradual transition would have provided.
