Lately there seems to be an Equinoctial frequency to these newsletters, so Blessed Spring/Fall Equinox to all, depending on which hemisphere you are in!

I feel blessed that my Great Shift and Earth Healing work bring me in contact with many folks around the world in many different life situations. I speak from my own experience and what I observe of the experiences of others, which gives me a fairly broad perspective, yet I remain aware that what I'm seeing is still a small part of an much larger picture. I'm glad if anything I have to share resonates and gives you encouragement on your journey. If not, that's fine, too. Perhaps you have something to offer me that will help broaden my perspective (I always welcome and appreciate responses to this newsletter).

Year Two of the New Earth. For me the year began with a bang as the three solar proton events (SPEs) between December 28 and January 9 pretty much knocked me out physically (more about the larger context for the SPEs below). If I were to characterize my own experience of planetary energies of the last six months, I'd say that it's been a strange mix of up and down and feeling like being in stop and go traffic. There have been exhilarating periods making exciting new connections with people and seeing potentials for new directions in my work, followed by longer periods of feeling completely stalled. Even when things are feeling really challenging (and I've certainly had more than one stop the world I want to get off moment) when I tune in it feels like I'm the flow of the energies and not making things more difficult for myself than they need to by resisting the flow. At such times I remind myself that I signed up for this at some level as part of my commitment to being of Service to Mother Earth and all living Beings upon her. With this reminder I have a mantra that I've used a lot lately: This, too, shall pass.

Part of what has made the time challenging has been extended periods of feeling emotions that that aren't characteristic of me, especially a sense of low-grade depression. When I tuned in more closely to the feelings, I had a sense that they were coming more from the collective human experience than from "me," although I could certainly see things happening in my life that could be seen a contributing factors. I have quite a few Lightworker friends who seem to be having similar experiences, which has led me to understand that we have volunteered to serve as energetic pressure release valves in a manner similar to the pressure relief valve of a hot water heater. If the temperature/pressure gets too high, the valve opens and relieves the pressure to keep the tank from exploding. Those who serve as energetic pressure relief valves channel enough of the negative emotions of the human collective to keep things from exploding to allow folks to deal with the emotions that they are ultimately responsible for dealing with without melting down. If what I'm describing resonates with what you have been experiencing (and not everyone I've shared this idea with has resonated with it), the main suggestion I have is to acknowledge the feelings and let them flow through.

Earth Changes Update. 2012 started out with a bang in terms of solar activity which three solar proton events (SPEs) two of which had proton fluxes greater than 6,000 MeV. 2003 was the last year there was a more energetic SPE (29,500 MeV). I know that folks who are energetically sensitive have been really feeling these influxes of solar energy. I continue to have a sense that Mother Earth is far enough along in the energetic shifts that are taking place that full intensity of the energetic influxes are not being measured. In the graphs below you can see that the number of SPEs continues to be higher than the number that would be predicted based on the correlation with sunspots from 1976 to 1988, but the maximum number has been far below that of the last two solar cycles.

In the graph below you can see that the maximum solar proton flux in the most recent solar cycle has been far below that of the previous two cycles, and in keeping with my hypothesis that the astrophysical changes taking place as part of the Great Shift are happening in ways to minimize harm and disruption to Mother Earth's inhabitants by severe geomagnetic disturbances on Earth.

I recently had a chance as part of a family trip to the Big Bend area in Texas to visit the McDonald Observatory and heard a talk on sunspots and the solar cycle. Afterward, I had a chance quiz the astronomer who gave the talk and learned that it will probably still be another six months before we will be able to say when sunspots peaked for this cycle. I also learned that astronomers have been able to develop models of the sun's behavior sufficiently to create sunspots, but that they are still far from being able to model the 22-year cycle of sunspots. This provides some explanation for how far off the earlier predictions for the peaking of this cycle have been. Below is a plot of sunspot numbers as of the end of 2013. I have also added in the 2007 and 2009 predictions. The sun may still have some surprises in store for us, but it looks like the peak of smoothed monthly values is going to come in considerably lower than the most recent prediction, and may well peak even later than the most recent prediction.

The updated graphs above all continue to be consistent with one of the main messages of my Great Shift work: that the necessary geophysical that are taking place for Mother Earth to make her dimensional shift and astrophysical changes that are supporting both her shift and that of humanity to a new dimensional level are taking place in a way that minimizes harm to living beings on the planet. One reason these newsletters have been so infrequent is that I haven't felt like I've had much new to say. For a change I have more I'd like to share than I have time for this newsletter (including updating some my other geophysical data analysis), so perhaps there will be another one before the next Equinox.
